Data-Path Health Check
One defined system, line, machine or telemetry application. We assess an agreed measurement and data path, document what was observed and what remains untested, and give you a prioritized set of next actions.
A scope built around your system.
We confirm the data path, site access, testing plan and deliverables before preparing your quote.
- One defined system, line or telemetry application
- Site testing within the agreed scope and access conditions
- Off-site analysis and documented findings
- A review call with recommendations and next actions
What the scope can include
We agree the test plan before the visit. Access, operating conditions and the time available determine what can be completed; the report identifies any gaps.
- Supply and loop power at the field device
- 4–20 mA signal integrity and loop behaviour
- HART configuration and device diagnostics, where present
- Serial and Modbus traffic: framing, timing, error rates
- Industrial Ethernet: captures, retransmits, packet loss
- Gateway and protocol conversion behaviour
- Cellular or fibre link performance, where in scope
- Values as they arrive at SCADA, historian or cloud
What you receive
- The reported symptom in plain language
- Exact scope boundary — and what was not included
- Every test performed, with the measurement behind it
- Evidence: captures, screenshots, logs, timestamps
- What matched expectations, where discrepancies appeared, and the limits of each observation
- Supported findings and possible causes, clearly distinguished
- Recommended immediate action and follow-up tests
- Known gaps and the limits of what we could establish
How it runs
- 1 · Scoping call
- Twenty minutes on the phone. We agree exactly which system is in scope and what the symptom is. If we do not think we can help, we say so on this call.
- 2 · Written scope
- You get the boundary in writing before anything is scheduled. No ambiguity about what is included.
- 3 · Site visit
- A site visit alongside your maintenance team, with duration, access, permitted tests and any need for downtime agreed in the scope.
- 4 · Analysis
- Captures and measurements are analysed off site.
- 5 · Report and call
- Written findings within five business days, followed by a call to walk through them and answer questions.
Assessment or troubleshooting?
Choose the Health Check for a structured assessment with analysis, formal findings and a review call.
Choose troubleshooting for focused investigation of a specific fault. We agree the investigation scope and documentation before starting.

What if you do not find anything?
The assessment documents the agreed investigation, even if the fault is not reproduced. We document what was observed, the conditions and duration of testing, what remains uncertain, and recommended next steps. A passing test during a visit does not rule out an intermittent fault. If longer monitoring would help, we quote that separately for your approval before additional work begins.
Will you disturb our running system?
We agree the test method with your team before starting. Passive observation is the default where practical; any test requiring a connection, interruption or other intervention needs your approval. Configuration changes, logic modifications and equipment restarts are outside this assessment.
Do we need our integrator involved?
We identify who needs to be involved during scoping, including anyone responsible for access or system changes. We work alongside your integrator, electrical contractor and maintenance team.
What if the fix needs licensed electrical work?
Then we stop at diagnosis and coordinate with a licensed contractor — yours or one we can introduce. You get one coordinated answer instead of being told to go find another vendor.
Discuss your assessment
Tell us about the affected system and your objectives. We will confirm whether the assessment fits your requirements and prepare a defined scope for your quote.
